In 1970, after many years in the retail industry, Charles Fitzmorris started Worldwide Chain Stores Systems (WCSS), the original founding company of AquiTec. WCSS was established specifically as a logistics software-development company with the mission of providing "best-of-breed" systems to the worldwide marketplace.

AquiTec solutions encompass Procurement, Forecasting, Warehouse Management, Voice Direction, Labour Management and Web Ordering. At every step in both design and implementation, the goal is to help companies reduce supply chain costs and improve management and control of inventory.

In 2006, AquiTec received the “Supply Chain Solution of the Year” award from Retail Systems Magazine and was named runner-up in the Supply Chain Solution category of the prestigious BCS IM awards. Key to our success was the groundbreaking use of new technology for voice directed picking.
